On Sunday, January 18, the teaching team flew to Delhi where we would teach the second workshop. On Monday, we took a day off to visit the Taj Mahal. It took over three hours to ride to Agra where the Taj is located, but we didn't mind as we saw many scenes of India on the way and also a typical American scene - the golden arches of McDonald's!
In Delhi, we were hosted by St. Stephen's Hospital. Dr. Sarah Walter, a leader in palliative care at this facility, was a super hostess. She recruited participatns, made arrangements and recommendations for our stay and even took us shopping! Her colleague, Sister Aily (the nurse on the palliative care team) also showed us around and helped us bargain and shop.
Here we had a large number of nursing students (both undergraduate and graduate) who attended along with some practitioners and nursing faculty.
